About the Artist

Hi, my name is Linda and I am the person and creative mind behind the @doodella.art brand. I am a freelance graphic designer, digital artist & small business owner from a small country called Latvia. Alongside being a graphic designer I run a stationery shop where I sell stickers, bookmarks, greeting cards, keychains, and other handmade items featuring my illustrations - mostly created in my small home studio.

MY ART JOURNEY

Art has always been a part of my life since early childhood, starting with simple doodles and progressing to participating in various art contests, and later studying traditional art more seriously. I have had a long history in traditional art, mostly academic and very technical drawing, watercolor painting, and acrylic painting, starting from kids' art school, art, then design college where I got an interior designer diploma, to university where I became a graphic designer.

I found my passion in digital art after graduating from university around August of 2020. Digital art was something that I had been looking for all my life without knowing about it, I never had a chance to try drawing on a tablet or any device because these tools were not available to me at the time. I got my iPad in 2019 and it took me about a year to finally be brave enough to start learning how to illustrate digitally. It all seemed overwhelming so that's why it took me that long.. Slowly but with a lot of daily practice, I found myself liking the process of learning the tools and I fell in love with digital art. Drawing cute and whimsical characters has been the main focus of my art, and I have also started to illustrate portraits, where before I was hesitant to do it. Being a digital artist has opened many doors to new opportunities, amazing communities, and has allowed me to find like-minded people.

 

ABOUT MY WORK

All of my products are illustrated by hand using an iPad and Apple Pencil. I like to illustrate cute and whimsical characters like frogs, bears, and bunnies. From time to time, I also enjoy drawing portraits. I am still learning how to illustrate people but I like to learn in the process and get better with every illustration. 

 

ABOUT MY PRODUCTS

You will find a variety of products in my shop, ranging from simple stationery items to accessories. Most of my items are made in my small home studio by me.

STICKERS, STICKER SHEETS, STICKER PACKS. I make 97% of my stickers at home and use matte, glossy sticker paper with different types of lamination for a nice and professional finish. I also have some stickers that are professionally made and are fully weatherproof and waterproof. You will find info about that in the product listing. Sticker sheets come in two finishes - matte or glossy, for you to choose according to your preference. Sticker packs have either sticker paper used, and they are not laminated.

ARTPRINTS, GREETING CARDS, KINDLE INSERTS. These are all printed at my home studio on a 220 gsm photo paper that gives very vibrant print results. Each greeting card comes with a brown kraft envelope. Christmas postcards (beige) are printed professionally by my local printing studio. These postcards are printed on 275 gsm cardstock.

BOOKMARKS (basic, magnetic). All of my bookmarks are handmade. I use sturdy photo paper and hot laminating pouches for sealing the designs for the classic bookmarks with tassels. These bookmarks are waterproof and easy to clean, although I do not suggest soaking them in water or using them in the rain. The magnetic bookmarks use the same photo paper and are laminated in a matte finish, and have two magnets that will hold on to your book pages.

MEMOPADS/NOTEPADS. These items are fully handmade by me and usually have some minor imperfections as they are cut by hand, assembled, and glued. For memopads and notepads, I use 80 gsm printer paper and cardstock backing.

NOTEBOOKS. With metal spiral and laminated covers, also handmade from start to finish. Covers are printed on both sides, laminated in glossy film, inside pages are 80 gsm blank paper, and all are bound with a gold colored spiral.

PINS, BADGES. I design, print, and make these at the studio. The button badges are fully metal, with a sharp pin on the back. Buttons have a glossy finish. 

WASHI TAPE/WASHI TAPE HOLDERS. I do not make these myself, but they are made by our production partners overseas. This way, I can offer the best quality materials for the best prices possible. Washi tapes are 5m long and 1,5 cm wide. Acrylic standees are made from high-quality acrylic material.

KEYCHAINS, LANYARDS. All of the acrylic keychains and lanyards are made by outsourced manufacturers. They use high-quality materials and tools I do not have access to myself. Fidget keychains are assembled by me using outsourced materials.

PHONE STRAPS, CHARMS, DUST PLUGS, ETC. All of these items are designed and assembled by me in my home studio using outsourced materials like beads, charms, jewelry findings, and more.

CAR COASTERS, AIR FRESHNERS. Coasters are made from neoprene and rubber material, air fresheners - felt & elastic. I print these at home using sublimation method. For air fresheners, I use essential oils to add the fragrances.

TOTE BAGS. I have a mix of tote bags available that are both handmade and professionally printed. Once the handmade ones are sold out, we will transition into offering only professionally printed ones. Handmade tote bags are printed using a heat transfer paper and should be washed by hand or on a gentle cycle on cold. The base bag is 100% cotton. Professionally printed totes can be washed in a washing machine, and the design will stay intact. They are also 100% cotton material.

GIFT BOXES. These boxes offer a mix of handmade and outsourced products. Each box has a set of the same handmade items from my shop (stickers, sheets, memopad, notebook, etc.) and different stationery-related items sourced and whitelabeled by me from other retailers (pencils, markers, sharpeners, erasers, etc).
